Rurality and teak plantations

Nilambur is a pretty town located by Chaliyar River near Nedumkayam Forest. The area is renowned for being the home of the world's oldest teak plantation, Conolly's Plot, and, fittingly, there is an interesting Teak Museum just 2 kilometres from Nilambur town. Untouched by tourism, Nilambur is ideally located as a connecting point between Central and North Kerala. In addition, some of the most welcoming accommodations are found in this area.
